March Profess House and Fundraising Update
Progress Report and a Call to Action!

I want to thank everyone who has generously donated so far, and to share some images of the great work being done at the Profess House!
Several people have asked about the goal we set, so I thought it would be good to show how we can reach our goal of $100,000. So far, thanks to the generosity of our membership, we have raised over $60,000, leaving $40,000 to go!
This is still a lot of money, so let’s look at how it can be raised…together. There are approximately 1600 members in USGL as of the 2024 Annual Report, and with that figure in mind, $40,000 can be raised by:
40 people (2.5% of the membership) donating $1000.
80 people (5% of the membership) donating $500.
160 people (10% of the membership) donating $250.
400 people (25% of the membership) donating $100.
Our ask is that you please select one of the four options above based on your personal circumstances and donate now. Can you make the effort to give $1000 without significant financial strain? $500? $250? $100? Something intermediate?

Please note that the funds are for the Profess House.
Note that you don’t even have to donate it all at once! In fact, an ongoing subscription to the Profess House is in many ways an advantage in securing its long-term success.
What is the money being used for? Great question, and glad you asked! The funds to date have (or will have) gone to:
Install a new energy-efficient furnace. (Completed November.)
Fix several significant plumbing issues. (Completed January.)
Insulate ductwork for better thermal efficiency. (Completed February.)
Rebuild a failing central chimney. (Completed February.)
Refinish the wood floors; re-carpet one upstairs room. (Completed February.)
Purchase furniture for the main bedrooms. (Completed February.)
Install security system and sensors. (Completed February.)
Further funds donated will go directly toward:
A permanent Gnostic Mass and Man of Earth initiation space.
Repair of the roof and installation of new trim and soffits.
Furnishings for common areas: couches, chairs, tables, etc.
Beds to accommodate more visitors on the third floor.
Renovation of an additional bathroom on the third floor.
General renovations and furnishing of the meeting and living spaces.
... and this is just the start. We plan to provide even more space for visitors over time with the renovation of a separate office building on the property.
